PICU Ward Rounds
Ward round occurs every day from 8am-10am, 4pm-6pm and 9pm-10pm. During ward round, nurses, doctors, pharmacists and allied health caring for your child will visit to check on the progress of your child. Family-centered care is a priority in PICU, you are encouraged to join the ward round and ask any questions or escalate any concerns.
Tips
- If you have questions for the doctors before ward round, write them down so you don’t forget.
- If you need to speak to a PICU doctor outside of the ward round, there is always a doctor available on the unit. Please speak to the nurse and they can arrange a meeting with the doctor.
