Monash Children’s Hospital School (MCHS) is located within Monash Children’s Hospital and provides children the opportunity to continue schoolwork during their inpatient stay. MCHS will communicate with the child, their family and regular school to identify specific learning needs for the student and then develop learning tasks for them to complete. School sessions run between 10am to 12pm and 1:30pm to 3pm, Monday to Friday. Sessions can occur in small groups in the classroom or one on one at the patient’s bedside.
